Shalia, Aaron and Quinlyn could not have had asked for nicer weather on one of the biggest days of their lives. They had an outdoor ceremony at one of favorite venues in the area, The Thompson Barn. Aaron and his groomsmen and Shalia and her bridesmaids got ready in connected rooms, although they were not allowed to see each other during the day. Shalia and her bridesmaids got ready by listening to Disney music and dancing with Quinlyn while Aaron and his groomsmen got ready and saw to the final details of the wedding day. The anticipation was palpable and the excitement seemed to swell throughout the building in preparation of the first look.
The chairs were set up ,the guests were arriving and Shalia was looking beautiful in her dress. The only thing standing between them and being married was the first look. Aaron waited in the hallway while Shalia approached him from behind and requested that he turned around. Aaron looked absolutely awe-struck and you could tell that the memorable day was just getting going. They had a quick kiss prior to the ceremony as the officiant bellowed “No Frenching!”
The ceremony went off without a hitch and it was wonderfully beautiful. After the ceremony, we ventured to the classically beautiful house next door to take pictures in front of. Quinlyn stole the show in a number of these pictures and she made it into a number of my favorites. Everyone was having so much fun, which always makes for better pictures!
I’ve been telling my friends all week about their reception. The food truck “The Beauty of the Bistro” catered the event and their food was fantastic! In addition to great food, they had Mass Street Soda take care of the beverages and they had a plethora of sodas in glass bottles for people to choose from. It was one of the more unique catering ideas I’ve seen and it was huge hit at the wedding. Aaron is a chef, so the culinary world is very important to their family. The centerpieces on all of their tables were small stacks of cookbooks, how fun is that?!
The reception wound down and I was able to get some great sunset pictures. Aaron and Shalia were such good sports throughout the entirety of the evening.
Aaron and Shalia, congratulations! Thank you so much for allowing Sara Marie Photography to shoot your wedding, I had an absolute blast and I love how your pictures turned out. Best of luck to you in the future!
