Ellie and Blake first met through mutual friends and their first date was at a wedding. Their wedding day came on a fine-looking fall day. All of the girls got ready at a local hotel while the guys got ready at one of the groomsmen’s homes. Blake’s mom helped him get ready and it made for plenty of sweet moments that we were able to capture. The girls were remarkably calm during the wedding day. This made Ellie really relaxed and allowed her to truly enjoy every aspect of her wedding day.
One of my favorite parts of the day came when the Maid of Honor pulled Ellie away and gave her a special gift. It was a box filled with letters written to her from each parent, each bridesmaid, her grandmother and Blake. The letter from her grandmother was written in 1999. How amazing is that?!
The first look was at the Stanley, which is always incredible. There didn’t seem to be a single dry eye around when this moment took place. After that, we journeyed around downtown Lee’s Summit to take portrait shots. The groomsmen wore Royals hats and Royals socks. They looked GREAT! We found a white wall with turquoise windows which made for great pictures.
Their ceremony was amazing. Their friend officiated it and was terrific! After the ceremony, we snuck out for a few more photos by a green wall. I loved all of these pictures!
Their reception was intimate, from the guest count to the lowered lights. It was so cool. The dancing and desserts took place upstairs after a room flip and it was amazing to see how much everyone was dancing. Everyone was having a blast, which made my job so easy!
Ellie and Blake, thank you so much for letting me a part of your big day. I loved all of these pictures and I hope you do too! Below are some of my favorites and here is their entire gallery!
