As the first warm day in spring came, so did Tony and Lyndsey’s wedding. It was a beautiful day and an even more beautiful wedding. Tony got ready at their home and Lyndsey got ready at her parents’ house. Throughout the entire day, the bride and groom were surrounded by their closest friends and family. While they were getting ready, Lyndsey gave her bridesmaids their gifts. She gave each of them a photo of them (the bridesmaid and Lyndsey) along with a personalized message on the back. The photos were great and the bridesmaids absolutely adored these gifts. Lyndsey also had a surprise for what she was going to wear on her wedding day. It turned out to be this beautiful, incredible jeweled hair piece. It was amazing and really made for some cool detailed pictures. All of the ladies were stunned when they saw it. Lyndsey really did look beautiful.
The ceremony took place at the church that Tony grew up in. As Lyndsey walked down the aisle, Tony couldn’t take his eyes off of his soon-to-be bride. It was an amazing ceremony filled with love and joy. I loved the images that I got from this beautiful ceremony.
From there, we all jumped in the party bus to go around town taking photos. Everyone was having an awesome time. We stopped by the Nelson Adkins where the classic architecture complemented Tony and Lyndsey beautifully. After that, we stopped downtown next to a beautiful Ivy wall and then went into Snow and Co. for few summery cocktails! While in Snow and Co., Lyndsey had her dress bustled! I’m sure that was a first for them! Before we ended the portrait session, we stopped by a mural made for the Royals winning the World Series. It was so cool!
Finally, the reception. It was held at The Guild, which is one of the most beautiful venues in the city. The reception was a blast. The speeches were just so genuine and filled with love. Tony’s twin brother, Carlos, gave a speech that brought Lyndsey to tears. It was a really cool moment. Their dances were incredible, during Tony and Lyndsey’s first dance, Lyndsey was becoming overwhelmed with emotion. Tony noticed, and started spinning her around to make her smile. It was so sweet. While Lyndsey and her dad danced, you could see the 3 brothers of the bride and groom dancing and clapping along in the background; I loved that!
Once the dance floor opened up, the night really took off! The dance floor was packed the entire night. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. A cool part about this wedding is that Tony’s family baked everything for the dessert table! It was delicious. Near the end of the night, I snuck these two newlyweds away for a few photos in The Guild’s outdoor space and it was fantastic.
I love these two. Their wedding was so wonderful and I’m so thankful I got to be a part of it. Congratulations, Tony and Lyndsey!
