Black Tie Mission Hills Country Club Kansas City Wedding : Jake & Rachel

Rachel & Jake tied the knot on a beautiful Saturday evening in May. The black tie event was held at Mission Hills Country Club where Jake likes to golf in his free time. The girls were having such a great time sipping on mimosas, reminiscing on how the ladies all came together and doting on the bride. Rachel’s dress was incredibly beautiful. The details of the dress were hand beaded and complemented her delicate silhouette. Jake also got ready at the club house. Every detail of his attire was in order from his shoes to his bow tie. When Jake & Rachel first saw each other he said “wow.” Frankly, I couldn’t have agreed more. We then ventured to Liberty Memorial where we captured their entire bridal party with the KC skyline.  I know I’ve been there virtually every weekend since I started my business, but that view takes my breath away every time! After portraits it was time to say “I do!”  Their ceremony was at St. Andrew’s church in Brookside. This church is so warm and welcoming, I love shooting here!! Our next stop was in their neighborhood to take pictures near the beautiful columns. I love it when grooms suggest locations and this was Jake’s idea This portion of the day is always my favorite. Those “we just got married” portraits. Everyone is always brimming and relaxed. Their reception was back at Mission Hills and the decor complemented them perfectly. On the tables there were accents of classic literature and golf balls, maintaining a level of class & elegance. The reception was so much fun! The Michael Beers band kept everyone on a the dance floor all night long!
