New Years Resolutions

Happy 2018!!

I’ve used this space mostly for my business over the past few years, but this year I’m going to shake it up! For starters, I wanted to share my New Years Resolutions with you! I think this will allow you to get to know me better (and hold me accountable)!

Listen – Thanks to all the technology in the world, I find myself not listening to people. I’m constantly thinking about the next email I need to send, next photo shoot to edit, dinner plans, social life and it’s all too easy to pull out my phone and dash the items off of my “To Do List” rather than living in the moment. In the new year I want to live in the moment.

Declutter – Since Adam and I have moved 4 times in the past 5 years we have been able to simplify what we have but I know we have boxes in our basement that I haven’t opened since our first apartment! It’s time to donate it and let someone else love on that stuff!

Relationships – As a small business owner who works from home it can get really lonely! While the dogs are pretty adorable, they don’t talk back! I want to get out of my home more and cultivate relationships with fellow creatives & dear friends who have been by my side for years. Time to dig deep! I want to get to know people below surface level!

Blog – If you guys haven’t noticed I’ve been blogging weddings from JUNE! YIKES!!! While I was delivering weddings to my clients within a week, blogging was one thing that fell by the wayside this year. I need to get back into my groove of blogging as soon as I deliver galleries!

Finances – This is the scariest part for me when it comes to running a business!! I am not a finance person but thanks to help from my amazing new accountant who is willing to sit down with me and talk through whats going on I now understand it! So this is the year I will make decisions based on whats best for my business!

Work/Life balance – As a small business owner you do EVERYTHING! And it is so easy to jump on that email at 7:00 pm when you’re spending time with your family or that ONE Saturday you have off in July. This year I am holding myself to office hours! Time to prioritize myself and that quality time I’m spending with friends and family!

Me – I want to show you guys more of me!! If thats on Insta stories or on the blog, I want you guys to know me better!

 – XOXO Sara

I love these!! I totally agree with finances being scary, and that it’s high time to figure it out. And you know I’m always here if you want to get out of your beautiful office 🙂
