Thompson Barn Kansas City Fall Wedding : Eric & Lexi

Eric and Lexi’s big day was on a beautiful day in October and was the first wedding I captured after our Europe trip! What an amazing way to come back home! The girls got ready at The Thompson Barn where their reception would be held later that day. Lexi’s dress was stunning!! The lace detail complemented her delicate frame perfectly! After Lexi’s mom helped her into her dress she shared a first look with her dad. This moment was so touching for everyone there. His little girl was getting married!! The gentlemen got ready at a nearby hotel. Being a big cardinals fan Eric had to include them on his wedding day from his cuff links to socks. After all the final details everyone headed to the church to make it official! Their ceremony was so sweet one with readings from both fathers. I have no idea how they held it together! They did a great job! After rings were exchanged and they were pronounced husband and wife they were sent off by their guests with handmade wands. With a church this beautiful we had to stay there for their portraits! I LOVE the images of their bridal party in front of the church! Then it was time for Mr. and Mrs. James. These two were naturals at their engagement session and somehow they were even better on their wedding day! They were just so excited to be married! One of my favorite poses was actually one that Eric suggested!  Before they entered their reception, we headed over to Thompson Barn to get a few images of them in front of a beautiful victorian home. These two with their classic car and the fall color was PERFECT! These have to be my favorite images from their day! Their reception was filled with gold and burgundy accents. I LOVED the gold chairs and string lights. Lexi is a calligrapher so of course all of her signage was to die for! It really brought the whole room together.  Their reception was so much fun!! Their speeches and dances were filled with so much love and excitement for the newlyweds!  Most weddings I capture have a packed dance floor but none compare to this wedding. When the bride and groom are on the dance floor 90% of the night you know their guests will be out there too! Eric was having so much fun partying with his new bride and their closest friends.  Eric and Lexi thank you so much for have my capture your big day and thank you for your friendship!! You two are such a sweet couple!
