Kansas City Mildale Farms Wedding : Will & Sarah

Will and Sarah’s big day is one I will always remember. Not only because it was SO much fun but because these two have a love that radiates.

Sarah and her ladies got ready at the Estate House at Mildale Farms. This property is amazing for so many reasons. One of which being that you can have everything on site and never leave! Sarah’s mom and sister helped her into her dress and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The dress was PERFECT for her!
Will and his groomsmen got ready at a nearby home where his bother who was also his best man helped him with those finishing touches so he was ready for his bride. We all headed over to church of the Ascension where these two shared a first touch and exchanged gifts. Sarah gave will a journal that she wrote in every day since they got engaged and Will presented Sarah with a play that told the story of their love. These gifts were truly priceless and they will be cherished for years to come.
Their ceremony had to be one of my favorites. Not only are these two very active in their church community they read the scripture passages to each other. After they exchanged vows and were officially husband and wife it was time to celebrate with their friends as we headed to Mildale Farms. Just like their engagement shoot, these two made my job so easy! They were so excited for the day to finally be here that they couldn’t take their eyes off each other. We started out with photos by the front entrance before we moved to the Estate House. On the back side there is a tree by the back porch that is PERFECT for photos!! This is one of my favorite spots on site. Their reception was held in the main barn & they did an amazing job designing the reception decor. The blue and green florals with the natural wood of the barn was perfect!

Their reception was so much fun! Their speeches were hilarious and heartfelt. Sarah’s sister’s had such a great speech. After dinner and cake with gloomy clouds heading in we snuck outside for a few portraits of just these two. Sunset is my favorite time for portraits for a few reasons. All the pressure of the day has fallen off the couple’s shoulders and it gives them a second to be alone & still at their reception. To truly enjoy the moment. Then we went back inside for more dancing! With these two having lots of friend who also love theater the dance floor was packed the whole time! It was so much fun!! Congrats Will and Sarah!! I loved being part of your day!
